This is one of the coolest businesses that I've had the good fortune to sign up with BarterPay Inc. - Niagara Waterjet ( www.niagara-waterjet.com ) . It's tucked in a corner of an industrial plaza off Cushman in St. Catharines but it's sure as hell worth the visit! No matter what you're needing cut, these ultra high pressure waterjets can do it - signs, tiles, stainless steel kitchen counter tops and even hair picks for cryin' out loud! Well, take a look at the video and Jim Mambella can tell his story! ( Mark Rutgers , CTB, who does an amazing job as a broker at BarterPay was our 'cameraman' ) If you go over to my Facebook page you'll see three more pics: one with Mark Rutgers, one with some really cool stuff Jim has cut and one with a tiny little 'm' - can cut very small.
This is Tara McEwen (and me but she's the important one!). She runs a business that helps people with room in their homes to share their homes and derive supplemental income. She went through a process herself searching for the right person and realized that their was no one with the expertise to figure out legalities and agreements. So. Her business was this born. I've gotten to know Tara a bit over the last while and think she is fantastic and it's the same for what she does. We just had her in to do a lunch and learn for our BarterPay Inc. clients (since she's with BarterPay). And did a perfect job. If you're looking for supplemental income or you yourself are looking to home share with someone, Tara is the person to talk to. Watch the video. She explains it far better than I do
In some of the descriptions of my videos I've used words like amazing, great, cool, etc. While all of those apply, I'm adding one to this; THE FUTURE! I'm in this video with William kemp (right next to me) and Eric Vogin who are the owners of Eco Niagara Construction www.eco-niagara.ca and we're at the home of Will. My way of describing this (and frankly Eric's way too - kinda - when we first met!) is building a house out of styrofoam and piecing it together like lego blocks - concrete is poured in between. It's much better if you watch the video and let them describe the intricacies in detail but I'll say this, when we first walked into Will's home (constructed of styrofoam and lego BTW), the temperature was cool enough that a sweater would be warranted. And the air conditioner had not been turned on in over 3 days! The energy efficiency is unprecedented and since there's no duct work its dirt and allergen free. So. Energy efficient. Healthy. Since I can't put more than one image here, you'll have to take my word that Will's home looks amazing. Watch and learn what they do (BarterPay Inc. customers of course) Oh ya! And a shout out to Ryan Hodges who held the camera (really an iPhone) steady. Ryan is the broker for Eco Niagara Construction.
This video with Dave Martineau and Hilary Montbourquette who is the GM of 101.1 More FM and 105.1 The River. This is the man who has been in charge of the transformation of these two stations in Niagara Falls and Fort Erie. And he's done a helluva job. Both stations sound amazing. (Dave personally likes 101.1 the best - all hits he knows. You know how that is). Music is great. Hourly news cast all local. How these stations sound now is nothing short of remarkable. Watch this video first then tune in to those stations.
@Dave Martineau stopped in to see one of the newest media companies in Niagara - Ownera Media! They've recently published a magazine titled Reveal complete with a multi level digital platform. Cool right?!
Have a watch and listen to owners Brandy Henderson and @Rowena Valera Prudente.
John shows all the empty rooms out there in peak season (JULY) in Niagara Falls, a huge tourist attraction. Imagine all the empty rooms in the off season?!! Why is he doing that? Because there's a solution to the empty room problem. What can hotels do instead??
